Thankful

I am so thankful for many things: family, home, food, and hot showers. Today has been a day to reflect and appreciate them. I am most thankful for my precious girl and the joy she brings to our lives. I remember two years ago on Thanksgiving when I was pregnant, tired and just so ready to have her arrive, which she did three days after Thanksgiving. This holiday has become special to us for this reason.

We have spent the day relaxing for the most part, watching Property Brothers on HGTV. For some reason we are cooking a small Thanksgiving meal for dinner after last week's three early Thanksgivings that we spent with family due to the daycare being closed for vacation. We visited my sister and brother in Corry, PA and had my dad over for dinner; a visit to Panama, NY to see my mom; a quick stop in Erie, PA to see Chris's grandfather, and then on to Kettering, OH with my in-laws to visit my brother-in-law, sister-in-law and their now 7 month old, Noah, who we were meeting for the first time. It was an interesting trip to say the least with a total of almost 30 hours in the car and over 1,600 miles on the car with a 2 year old. There were some moments in the car that were tense but she was a real trooper. Her early birthday present of the iTouch 4 helped. We are thankful that everyone was doing well and it was great to spend some time with everyone across three states but we are glad to be home. Bring on the green-bean casserole!

First Post!

This is my very first blog post. I am still working on the layout of the blog but getting there. I am starting this blog to capture the everyday moments in my life which mostly revolve around my baby girl and to document my scrapbooking.
